Some holiday traditions are grand, and some are just plain fun — this concert is built to give you both. The LCSO takes the stage for a program that ranges from Nicolai's sparkling Merry Wives of Windsor Overture to Vaughan Williams' gentle Fantasia on Greensleeves and Coleridge-Taylor's rarely-heard Christmas Overture, then leans into pure seasonal joy with Rimsky-Korsakov's Christmas Eve Suite and Leroy Anderson's ever-delightful Sleigh Ride. And you won't just be listening: the evening includes two audience singalongs of holiday favorites, plus a rousing send-off with A Christmas Festival to close out the night.
