Support the Lake County Symphony Orchestra

The Lake County Symphony Orchestra relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners to bring live orchestral music to audiences throughout Lake County.

Since 2004, the LCSO has presented professional-quality performances while providing meaningful employment opportunities for Illinois musicians and enriching the cultural life of our communities.

Ticket sales cover only a portion of the cost of producing live orchestral performances. Contributions of all sizes help support musician compensation, guest artists, music rental and licensing, venue expenses, educational initiatives, and organizational operations.

Your support ensures that live orchestral music remains vibrant, accessible, and inspiring for generations to come.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to the Lake County Symphony Orchestra.

Beginning at age 73, a QCD may also satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) while potentially reducing taxable income.

For 2026, individuals may distribute up to $111,000 annually to qualified charitable organizations through a QCD.

Please consult your financial advisor or tax professional regarding your specific circumstances.

To ensure your gift is processed within a given tax year, we recommend that distributions arrive at the Lake County Symphony Orchestra no later than December 15.
