For the first time in its history, the Lake County Symphony Orchestra welcomes a guest conductor to open the season. Dr. Timothy Semanik, an acclaimed conductor with a broad career in symphonic and operatic music, will lead Curtain Up! on September 13.

Semanik currently serves as Music Director of the Bradley Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, and Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra, and has guest conducted ensembles ranging from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to the Colorado Symphony. His experience, artistry, and passion for music-making will bring a fresh voice to the LCSO.
